Softball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hickory Grove Christian on Tuesday, Forsyth Home Educators came back down to earth. The Hawks came up short against the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans on Thursday, falling 13-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 7-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Abigail Smith was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Smith was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Smith wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Lambert, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Forsyth Home Educators' defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

As of now, neither Forsyth Home Educators nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
