Volleyball Game Preview: Shrine Catholic Knights vs. Kettering Captains + How To Watch

The Shrine Catholic Knights will face off against the Kettering Captains at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Shrine Catholic will be strutting in after a win while Kettering will be coming in after a defeat.

While Shrine Catholic's victory against Cardinal Mooney Catholic wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights won by a set and slipped past the Cardinals 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Kettering unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against St. Catherine of Siena Academy, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Captains have suffered since September 30th.

While Kettering was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into St. Catherine of Siena Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-19, 25-21.

Kettering's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14-1. As for Shrine Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14-2.

Shrine Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Kettering in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Captains turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
