Basketball Recap: Grand Forks Central Comes Up Short

If Grand Forks Central was feeling good fresh off their 88-68 takedown of Fargo South last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grand Forks Central Knights took a hard 83-69 fall against Horace on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Horace this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 100-56 back in January.

Grand Forks Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Horace, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.

Looking ahead, Grand Forks Central will head out to face off against Sheyenne at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sheyenne's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for Horace, they will be playing at home against Red River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Horace knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matches -- so hopefully Red River likes a good challenge.
