It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Monroe Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Cameron Dragons 8-7. The win was some much needed relief for the Seminoles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Ryder Muntz tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Monroe Central is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11 otherwise.
