Football Recap: Chestatee War Eagles vs. Johnson Knights
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chestatee). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Johnson Knights 56-0 on the road. The win was some much needed relief for the War Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Hector Espinoza was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Chestatee's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Johnson, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
Chestatee will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pickens at 7:30 p.m. on October 11th. Chestatee is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season. As for Johnson, they will challenge Dawson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
