Basketball Recap: Pymatuning Valley Takes a Loss

Pymatuning Valley was the 77-71 winner over Harding when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pymatuning Valley Lakers fell to the Harding Skippers 65-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Lakers still had to take the loss.

Harding found their leader in sophomore Yomar Castellano, who went 8-for-19 on his way to 27 points and five assists. The contest was Castellano's fifth in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Lawson, who posted 11 points.

Pymatuning Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Harding, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.

Pymatuning Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-29 loss against Geneva on the 11th. As for Harding, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-50 win against Lordstown on the 8th.
