Softball Recap: Patton Takes a Loss

Patton lost against Brevard last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Patton fell just short of Brevard by a score of 6-5. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jolann Buff was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Shuping, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Buff wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Patton lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Patton's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Brevard, their record is now 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Patton is set to take on their familiar foe R-S Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Brevard will face off against rival Hendersonville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
