Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lake Highland Prep walked away with it. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 79-34 victory over the McKeel Academy Wildcats. The Highlanders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Highland Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Valeria Munoz, who went 8 of 15 en route to 21 points along with five assists and four steals. The dominant performance gave Munoz a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Eryn Griffin, who went 8 for 13 on her way to 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals.

Munoz wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Lake Highland Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why McKeel Academy lost, don't look at Ava Anderson. Despite the final result, she went 10 of 18 en route to 22 points and six boards. The match was Anderson's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Jordan, who posted eight points.

The win (which was Lake Highland Prep's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-11. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for McKeel Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-11 record.

Lake Highland Prep will take on Windermere Prep on Saturday. McKeel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
