Baseball Recap: Alief Elsik Find Success

While Alief Elsik's victory against Alief Taylor wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Lions 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Bryan Lea made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only two earned runs while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Alief Elsik is 3-1 when Lea posts two or more runs, but 0-18 otherwise.

In other batting news, Jonathan Bennett was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Alief Elsik's record is now 3-19. As for Alief Taylor, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

As of now, neither Alief Elsik nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
