Basketball Game Preview: Alcovy Tigers vs. Jackson County Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Alcovy Tigers take on the Jackson County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Jackson County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Alcovy, who comes in off a win.

Alcovy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Mount Pisgah Christian 95-65 two weeks ago. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Jackson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 72-45 defeat at the hands of Winder-Barrow. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Bulldoggs are ranked 33rd).

Jackson County's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Alcovy, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-5.
