Volleyball Recap: Evansville Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four

Evansville Christian barely beat Boonville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pioneers on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Evansville Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Boonville between 16 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-16.

Ainsley Shouse paced Evansville Christian's offense, picking up 20 kills. Shouse got some help from Ellarae Lovell and her 35 assists. Hallie Higgs controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Reagan Schnuck and Jaydin Dossett certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Schnuck had 17 digs and one assist, while Dossett had ten assists and nine digs. Schnuck has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 14 times she's played.

Evansville Christian's victory bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Boonville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Evansville Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Cannelton on the 8th. As for Boonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Washington on the 9th.
