Volleyball Recap: Ulysses Takes a Loss

Ulysses lost against Goodland on September 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys.

Ulysses was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Goodland work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-21.

Ulysses has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Goodland, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Ulysses wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Lakin on the 27th. As for Goodland, they will welcome Wheatland-Grinnell at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
