If China Spring was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Lorena last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leopards on Monday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

China Spring saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Nicole Prestidge also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

China Spring's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Lorena, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. China Spring will face off against rival Gatesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lorena is set to take on their familiar foe Connally at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
