Basketball Game Preview: Leonardtown Raiders vs. Bowie Bulldogs

The Leonardtown Raiders will square off against the Bowie Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leonardtown knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Bowie likes a good challenge.

Leonardtown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Broadneck by a score of 63-51.

Meanwhile, Bowie had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 53-37.

Leonardtown pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Bowie, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.

Leonardtown came up short against Bowie when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 55-51. Can Leonardtown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
