Basketball Recap: Mountain Valley Comes Up Short

Mountain Valley won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Monmouth Academy Mustangs an easy 54-31 victory. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Mountain Valley now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Monmouth Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Mountain Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Cape Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Monmouth Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Waynflete at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th.
