Preview: Pasadena Eagles vs. Dobie Longhorns
Pasadena is 0-10 against Dobie since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Pasadena Eagles will be playing at home against the Dobie Longhorns at 1:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, Pasadena lost to South Houston on the road by a decisive 51-33 margin. Pasadena has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Amy Caballero, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caryme Molina, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Dobie's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 57-31 loss at the hands of Deer Park. Dobie has struggled against Deer Park recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Pasadena's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 10-17. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.4 points per game. As for Dobie, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
