After only one run in their last match, Lapel made sure to put some runs up on the board against Mt. Vernon on Tuesday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Marauders with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

Addison Bodenhorn and Karlie Jannings made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Bodenhorn struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Jannings tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bodenhorn has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Bodenhorn went 2-for-3 with one run, while Jannings went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Tatum Harper was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Jama Everman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lapel was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mt. Vernon only posted a batting average of .192.

Lapel's record now sits at 12-3. As for Mt. Vernon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lapel will take on New Castle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will challenge Fishers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
