Baseball Game Preview: Victor Valley Jackrabbits vs. Barstow Aztecs

For the second straight game, Victor Valley will face off against Barstow. The Jackrabbits will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Aztecs at 3:15 p.m. Victor Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

On Tuesday, Victor Valley beat Barstow 7-2. The Jackrabbits haven't had any issues with the Aztecs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Matthew Yepez and Davian Dominguez did most of the damage at the plate: Yepez went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Dominguez went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Victor Valley is 3-1 when Dominguez posts two or more runs, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Middlebrooks, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Victor Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Victor Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Barstow, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
