Lemmon has gone 9-1 against Dupree recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lemmon Cowboys will head out to challenge the Dupree Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Lemmon is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

On Tuesday, Lemmon took their game with ease, bagging a 70-43 win over Wakpala. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Sioux are ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Dupree, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 61-52 victory over Harding County on Tuesday. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Lemmon pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Dupree, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 8-2.

Lemmon didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Dupree in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 62-57 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lemmon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
