Van Buren is still winless after their matchup against Far Rockaway on Thursday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Far Rockaway Seahorses. One positive for the Vee Bees, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Van Buren's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Far Rockaway, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Van Buren will head out to face off against Richmond Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Van Buren has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Far Rockaway will take on Metropolitan in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
