There's no place like home for Manitou Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Ellicott Thunderhawks by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Thunderhawks: they've now won eight in a row.

Manitou Springs was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-7, 16-25, 25-14.

Manitou Springs can attribute much of their success to Gracie Esterline, who had 17 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Esterline has posted since back in August.

Esterline wasn't the only good servers: Manitou Springs was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 26 aces. The Mustangs are 5-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Manitou Springs picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-9. As for Ellicott, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
