Volleyball Recap: Nevada Union Takes a Loss

Nevada Union lost against St. Francis back in October of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Miners fell 2-0 to the Troubadours. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ashley Thompson paced Nevada Union's offense, picking up seven kills. Thompson got some help from Ellyse Havlorson and her nine assists. Malis Milone-Hang controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Francis was led to victory by Katie Kramer and Malia Fat. Kramer had 13 assists and seven digs, while Fat had six digs and one assist.

Nevada Union's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for St. Francis, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-4.

Coming up, Nevada Union will square off against Yuba City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Francis, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Vacaville on the 27th.
