Volleyball Recap: Maribel Longspaugh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Boswell over Mansfield Legacy + How To Watch

Boswell was the 3-2 winner over Mansfield Legacy when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers fell 3-1 to the Broncos on Tuesday. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Boswell actually scored more points across those four sets (96-92), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 15-25, 27-25, 25-23.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maribel Longspaugh, who had 22 digs and three assists. Longspaugh has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played. Emma Stuhr was another key player, getting 24 assists and two aces.

Boswell's defeat dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Mansfield Legacy, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 16-12.

Boswell has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Lake Ridge on the 19th. As for Mansfield Legacy, they will square off against Mansfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something the Broncos surely won't give up without a fight.
