Baseball Recap: Navarre Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pine Forest last Friday, Navarre came back down to earth. The Navarre Raiders lost 11-5 to the Gulf Breeze Dolphins on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 4-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Pierce Brooks was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

Navarre's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Gulf Breeze, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Navarre will venture away from home to face off against West Florida at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Florida will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Navarre surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gulf Breeze, they will welcome Pensacola Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
