Pendleton Heights has gone 7-1 against Connersville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Arabians will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Neither Pendleton Heights nor Connersville posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Friday just wasn't the day for Pendleton Heights' offense. They fell 5-0 to Hamilton Southeastern on Friday. The Arabians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morgan Bricker was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed over her last seven contests.

Meanwhile, Connersville came tearing into Monday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Tigers.

Taylynn Selby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Connersville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jade Green, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Connersville's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Pendleton Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Everything went Pendleton Heights' way against Connersville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Pendleton Heights made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Arabians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
