Rocky Mount Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Halifax Academy Vikings. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Rocky Mount Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Halifax Academy between 15 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-17.

McKenna Rogers paced Rocky Mount Academy's offense, picking up 17 kills. Rogers got some help from Landry Miller and her 35 assists. Rogers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocky Mount Academy will host Lawrence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Halifax Academy, they will welcome Southampton Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
