Baseball Recap: Pendleton County Takes a Loss

Pendleton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moorefield Yellow Jackets. The Wildcat were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellow Jackets earlier this season, when they won 14-2.

Pendleton County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Owens, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Pendleton County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Moorefield, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Pendleton County will head out to challenge Petersburg at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Moorefield, they will host Musselman at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
