Softball Game Preview: Collaborative Education vs. East Side Community

For the first time this season, Collaborative Education will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against East Side Community at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Collaborative Education came up short against Baruch College on Wednesday, falling 20-4. Collaborative Education has struggled against Baruch College recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, East Side Community was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 16-1 to Manhattan Village Academy.

Gabriella Massucci was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Massucci is crushing it when it comes to home runs: she's launched at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

East Side Community now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Collaborative Education, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Collaborative Education skirted past East Side Community 10-8 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for Collaborative Education since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
