Soccer Game Preview: A&M Consolidated vs. Lake Creek

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the A&M Consolidated duke it out with the Lake Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as A&M Consolidated comes in on four and Lake Creek on five.

Last Tuesday, everything went A&M Consolidated's way against Rudder as A&M Consolidated made off with a 4-1 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Creek hadn't done well against Huntsville recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Lake Creek came out on top against Huntsville by a score of 4-2. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Hornets are ranked 669th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lake Creek hit Huntsville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Reid Robert (2), Santiago Segura, and Efrain Solis.

A&M Consolidated's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. As for Lake Creek, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
