Baseball Recap: Logos Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Logos Prep Academy came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Brazos Cougars by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Brayden Tibbetts was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Mason Vickers also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Logos Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Brazos, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Logos Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lutheran South Academy at 6:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Brazos, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calhoun at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
