Berea-Midpark snaps three-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Berea-Midpark Titans vs. Avon Lake Shoremen

It was a good run, but the Berea-Midpark Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 87-81 hit to the loss column at the hands of Avon Lake. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (72), Berea-Midpark still had to take the loss.

Berea-Midpark's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Reece, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Reece scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Masyn Zahursky, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Berea-Midpark's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. As for Avon Lake, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Berea-Midpark will head out on the road to face off against Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Steele: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Berea-Midpark has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. Avon Lake will take on Midview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Midview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
