Softball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Comes Up Short

Canyon Crest Academy lost against Bishop back in March of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens fell just short of the Bishop's Knights by a score of 5-4.

Andie Warner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season.

Even though they lost, Canyon Crest Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in four consecutive matches.

Canyon Crest Academy now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Bishop's, their record is now 4-0-1.

Coming up, Canyon Crest Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Mission Bay at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop's, they will host Santa Fe Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Santa Fe Christian 2.8, Bishop's 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
