Recap: Tuscumbia Lions vs. Macks Creek Pirates
The Tuscumbia Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Macks Creek 76-36. Tuscumbia was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-10.
It was another big night for India Willis, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds for Macks Creek. The match was Willis' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Duggan, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and four steals.
Tuscumbia's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-6. As for Macks Creek, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Tuscumbia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vienna at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Macks Creek will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Leeton at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Leeton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
