Basketball Game Preview: Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds vs. Brush Beetdiggers

The Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds will head out to square off against the Brush Beetdiggers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Windsor Charter Academy will head into Tuesday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 72-19 loss at the hands of Resurrection Christian. While losing is never fun, the Firebirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Cougars are ranked 29th).

Brush has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against Strasburg on Tuesday, falling 71-50.

Windsor Charter Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Brush, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Windsor Charter Academy barely slipped by Brush in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 43-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windsor Charter Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
