Soccer Recap: Manchester Regional Comes Up Short

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Manchester Regional was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Cresskill Cougars by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Manchester Regional couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Christian Jean-Baptiste, who's now up to four this season.

Manchester Regional's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1-1 and their overall record down to 10-4-1. As for Cresskill, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 8-3-1.

Coming up, Manchester Regional will host Pioneer Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cresskill, they will head out on the road to face off against Paramus at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
