Baseball Game Preview: Glendale Nitros vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

For the second straight game, Glendale will face off against Eagle Rock. The Nitros are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Glendale will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Eagle Rock on Tuesday. The Nitros blew past the Eagles 12-6. The win continues a trend for the Nitros in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

For Eagle Rock's part, Steven Mora and Jake Sugi stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mora went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Sugi went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Andrew Martinez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Everything went Glendale's way against Eagle Rock in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as Glendale made off with a 12-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Nitros since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
