Baseball Recap: Abraham Lincoln Comes Up Short

Abraham Lincoln couldn't beat Olney on Monday even though they stacked six runs on them in the third inning. The Railsplitters lost 22-11 to the Trojans. The Railsplitters haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Joshua Hernandez-Mercedes stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Sebastian Perez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Abraham Lincoln's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Olney, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.

Abraham Lincoln has already played their next contest, a 16-1 win against String Theory on the 29th. As for Olney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-3 victory against South Philadelphia on the 29th.
