Volleyball Recap: Moapa Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Moapa Valley suffered their biggest defeat since November 9, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against The Meadows School Mustangs, falling 3-0. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Moapa Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-11, 25-20.

Mckenzie Matheson paced Moapa Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Matheson got some help from Phoebe Leavitt and her 15 assists. Matheson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The Meadows School found their leader in sophomore Adyson Watkins, who had 18 digs and one assist.

Moapa Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for The Meadows School, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Moapa Valley has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Cristo Rey St. Viator on the 25th. As for The Meadows School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus on the 25th.
