Baseball Recap: Eastern Finds Home Field Redemption Against Roosevelt

There's no place like home for Eastern, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Roosevelt Roughriders on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Ramblers considering their two-run performance the match before.

Aaron Williams was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joseph Foskett, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Eastern has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Roosevelt, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Eastern didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-3 defeat against Lackey on the 15th. As for Roosevelt, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on School Without Walls at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
