Recap: Miami Eagles vs. Ballard Bulldogs
Sadly, the Miami Eagles are still looking for their first win of the season after 12 matches. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 60-39 walloping at the hands of Ballard on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Miami of the 62-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Ballard found their leader in underclassman Payson Hill, who scored 25 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hill has scored at least a third of Ballard's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Callahan, who scored 13 points.
Miami's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Ballard, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-16.
Miami will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Montrose at 7:00 p.m. As for Ballard, they will head out on the road to square off against Chilhowee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Missouri (Ballard is ranked 592nd, while Chilhowee is ranked 585th).
