DuPont Manual had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Holy Cross Cougars 83-42. Given the Crimsons' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Cougars are ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

DuPont Manual's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Holy Cross, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

The future could be bright for both DuPont Manual and Holy Cross: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. DuPont Manual will try to hand Seneca their ninth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Holy Cross will look to extend Bracken County's three-game losing streak when the meet at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
