Basketball Recap: Freedom Prep Academy Eagles vs. Intermountain Christian Lions
Freedom Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 73-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the Intermountain Christian Lions. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Wyatt Leigh and Manuel Aguilera Hernandez certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Leigh posted 21 points in addition to five boards and three blocks, while Aguilera Hernandez had 15 points and five rebounds. Those 15 points gave Aguilera Hernandez a new career-high. Seth Ponczoch was another key player, putting up ten points.
Freedom Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Intermountain Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-12.
