Basketball Recap: Quantico Warriors vs. Wakefield School Fighting Owls
Quantico kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Wakefield School Fighting Owls 41-9. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Fighting Owls recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wakefield School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joelle Domfeh, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals. The dominant performance also gave Domfeh a new career-high in offensive rebounds (four). Andie Mason was another key player, earning six points plus 21 rebounds and two steals.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quantico will face off against Fredericksburg Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wakefield School, they will take on King Abdullah Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
