Basketball Recap: Culbertson Falls Short of Savage in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Culbertson can now relate to. They came up short against the Savage Warriors on Friday, falling 60-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cowboys have suffered since January 25th.

Culbertson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ian Snyder, who posted six points. Mark Kirkaldie was another key player, putting up four points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Even though they lost, Culbertson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Culbertson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Savage, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Culbertson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-47 win against Brockton on the 22nd. Savage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
