Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Antioch Christian Academy Gators 64-30. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gators this season, with their most recent loss being a 42-30 defeat on February 4th.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tanner Kuykendall, who posted seven points and 11 boards. Kuykendall has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryan Bunnells, who had 13 points and five boards.

Liberty Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Antioch Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Liberty Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Antioch Christian Academy, they will challenge Christ the Cornerstone Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Christ the Cornerstone Academy sitting on 13 straight wins and Antioch Christian Academy on seven.
