Football Game Preview: Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack vs. Marist RedHawks

The Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack will head out on the road to challenge the Marist RedHawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Saint Ignatius College Prep is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 44 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Loyola Academy on Saturday. They came up short against the Ramblers, falling 28-7. The Wolfpack were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Meanwhile, Marist ended up a good deal behind Providence Catholic on Friday and lost 28-14.

Saint Ignatius College Prep dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Marist, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Things could have been worse for Saint Ignatius College Prep, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 37-19 loss to Marist in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Wolfpack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
