Marquez came tearing into Saturday's game with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Fairfax Lions by a score of 2-0. The Gladiators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Marquez's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Fairfax, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marquez will square off against Sotomayor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Gladiators have won five straight at home, while the Wolves won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Fairfax, they will host Palisades at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
