Baseball Recap: Scotts Valley Gets the Win

Scotts Valley lost to Aptos on Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mariners, sneaking past 4-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Falcons' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Kaleb Wing was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He has become a key player for Scotts Valley: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-9 otherwise.

Scotts Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Aptos, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Looking ahead, Scotts Valley will square off against Westmont at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Aptos, they will challenge Salinas at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mariners are facing the Cowboys at the right time seeing as the Cowboys are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
