Arlington Catholic waltzed into their game on Sunday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the St. Mary's Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Spartans back in April, they had to take a 5-2 defeat.

Arlington Catholic's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for St. Mary's, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arlington Catholic will face off against Manchester Essex at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Mary's, they will take on St. John's Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
