Basketball Recap: Gardendale Takes a Loss

Gardendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Leeds Greenwave. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-49 back in December of 2024.

Gardendale's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Leeds, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.

Gardendale won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Leeds does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
